The Our World Project, directed by Larry Heimgartner, is a collection of thirty-minute plays which are designed to focus on social ills and the difficult, confusing and sometimes disturbing problems facing today’s youth. The plays give voice to a wide range of subjects and include inspirational moments, meant to stimulate and encourage discussion.

The aim of the project is to educate young people, make them aware of the world around them, open difficult discussions and empower the next generation to go out and make changes in the world where change is needed.

Since 2015, Nova Grace Productions has been collaborating with Heimgartner on several of these plays, using dance, alongside spoken word, as a non-verbal tool for communication and expression.

A Glimpse into Our World of Dance is just one of these plays on the subject of “inspiration.” It takes the audience on a journey through a dancer’s life, telling a story of hard work and determination, inspiring young people to have big dreams and goals and to work hard towards those dreams. The play has toured schools, colleges and dance schools in the UK, Los Angeles, California, Uganda, East Africa as well as the UK and beyond.

“ . . . let us be the dream weavers . . . the shapers of tomorrow . . .

with all its wonder and hope . . . power and magic

Larry W. Heimgartner

Another collaboration is Our World XVII: Shadows which broaches the topic of mental health and particularly depression and suicide. For more details about this project, click here to follow a link through to the page.

At Nova Grace Productions, we create and deliver dance performances and plays, creative dance workshops, activities and conversations, to people all over the world with a creative and inclusive purpose.

We work on a mixture of independent and collaborative projects, developing partnerships with other like-minded people and

organisations to deliver dance opportunities to those who may not otherwise experience dance.

Founded in 2015 by professional dancers Jenny Logan and Rosy Nevard, Nova Grace Productions has been a platform for all kinds of performances and a supporter of other outreach programs in the UK and abroad.

One of our ongoing projects is supporting dance organisations in developing countries, giving children living in underprivileged areas a chance to be creative. Dance lessons are more than just learning to move your body but build confidence and creative skills for the future.
This in turn will help young people be creative and active in finding opportunities for themselves and for their own futures.

By supporting NGP, you are supporting our work to send dancers from the UK to visit these organisations abroad, sending shipments of dance wear for the children to wear for their practice, paying for the children’s food on dance days as most are hungry, and supporting the in-country leaders to continue their work to organize these activities.

You are also supporting our professional creatives in their performance projects to explore all sorts of social issues through dance, art, and music. Working closely with The Our World Project and Larry Heimgartner in L.A., one of NGP’s main topics to date has been Mental Health Awareness. These shows have toured L.A., Belize, Uganda, Gambia, West Africa, Yorkshire and London.

We are now seeing the outcomes of the Covid-19 pandemic and the projects and art that was inspired through that time. We are excited how this has redirected our work and continue to explore where it will go in the future.
